We exist to improve conditions for private renters in Camden, but we know that the unfair renting system is not confined to the borough’s borders. There are over two and a half million private renters in London, living on short-term, insecure tenancies, facing low standards and unaffordable rents.
So that’s why we asked Trust for London to help us take the message beyond Camden. They agreed to fund a small, three year project that teaches London’s private renters about their rights and campaigns for a fairer renting system, and Renters’ Rights London (RRL) was born!
The Renters’ Rights London team, made up of one part-time paid worker and a dedicated group of volunteers is based in Camden Federation of Private Tenant’s office in Malden Road, and we have overall responsibility for managing the project and ensuring the grant is spent properly.
