Rent Repayment Orders (RROs) are a new legal power available to tenants that can be used in the following circumstances:
1. If you live in an unlicensed house in a selective scheme area (‘house’ is any self-contained property, including flats and studios) or a House of Multiple Occupation (HMO) covered by the mandatory scheme or an Additional scheme
2. If violence is used for securing entry to your home
3. Eviction or harassment of occupiers
4. Failure to comply with an Improvement Notice
5. Failure to comply with a Prohibition Notice
6. Breaching (disobeying) a banning order
