The ban has been extended by a further 4 weeks, until 20th September.
According to the government the following now applies:
- New 6 month notice periods to be in place until at least 31st March 2021
- Once eviction hearings re-start, the judiciary will carefully prioritise the most serious cases including those involving anti-social behaviour and domestic abuse
As before, make sure that you:
- Don’t ignore any paperwork sent to you by your landlord or the court
- Get some help and advice as soon as possible and make sure you check if the eviction your landlord is attempting is actually legal and they have complied fully with the law
